WP 3.3 Farmers’ climate change adaptation strategies

Climate change impacts rural livelihoods now and farmers react via complex adaptation strategies. Detailed social-ecological studies of farmers’ responses and institutions’ role-playing, allow us to craft specific technical, operational and policy-related suggestions to increase their impact, and alongside, augment the households’ resilience.

Identifying and evaluating key coping measures carried out by farmers, and estimate their contribution to the general resilience and adaptability of households. Complementary, explore the technical and operational means for their optimisation, as well as supporting policy decisions to encourage them.
